JBJ Solutions has been associated with HJ Russell, one of the largest minority owned construction companies in America, since 2004. This association has led to big-time accomplishments within Texas for this Atlanta-based firm. J Russell has been a joint venture prime with the 350 million dollar worth Omni Hotel at the Dallas Convention Center and the 1.5 billion dollar project at Parkland Memorial - America’s largest hospital. With its superior leadership and strategies, JBJ has worked closely with HJ Russell on the 1.8 billion dollar expansion of the DFW Airport. Since being headquartered in Texas, HJ Russell has won numerous awards including the Parkland Bridge, Capital One Banks and has recently expanded to Houston. Concessions International has chosen to work with JBJ in Texas to help expand their business and has been successful thus far. The company is a dynamic food and beverage operator that is family owned. With multiple operations based in Atlanta, Seattle, Detroit, Denver, Miami, and St. Thomas - Concessions International has chosen to pursue DFW airport with JBJ Solutions. Since their connection, Concessions has worked on numerous successful projects including Einstein’s Bagels and Genghis Grill. Concessions and JBJ will continue to work together on multiple opportunities at DFW Airport.
Tom C. Leppert is the Chief Executive Officer of Kaplan, Inc., a global educational services company and largest subsidiary of Graham Holdings Company. He first joined Kaplan in January 2013 as the company's President and Chief Operating Officer, with oversight of its various operating divisions across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
Because of his extensive leadership experience, in 2007, Leppert threw his hat in the Dallas Mayoral race and won.
It was during the mayoral campaign that Leppert hired JBJ Marketing as a consultant. That partnership helped Leppert easily move into many diverse areas and garnered him additional support including the traditionally Democratic African American community in Dallas’ Southern Sector.
Following the election, the JBJ Marketing/Leppert partnership continued as the mayor led two successful referendums to build major projects. One of the first items on his agenda was to get approval for a Dallas Convention Hotel. After overcoming opposition it was eventually financed with $388.2 million in federally-subsidized revenue bonds issued under the Obama administration’s Build America Bonds program. Despite opposition, he also pushed for a realignment of the Dallas Rapid Transit system to allow for a stop under the convention center.
From 2007-2011, JBJ Marketing and Leppert continued to collaborate as Leppert pursued his strong education agenda including creating programs for early reading; reducing crime and increasing the number of police officers in the City of Dallas; and promoting economic development throughout the city.
JBJ Solutions continues to work with Sam Inc as it is consistently considered one of the top workplaces within Texas. Sam Inc is primarily a leader in providing geospatial data solutions such as hydrographic surveying, airborne, mobile and terrestrial LiDAR, aerial mapping, GIS, SUE, utility coordination and construction phase services. This Austin-based company has been successful in Dallas since working with JBJ on the NTTA and I-35 projects. Sam Inc continues to pursue future opportunities in Texas while working closely with JBJ.
JBJ has worked closely with Shaw (now CB&I) for the last several years and has had the opportunity to strategically place the company in a winning position for Dallas at Love Field and the Trinity River project. Working with the business development department in their Dallas office has created a multitude of opportunities within various Texas communities including Dallas, Houston, Galveston, and Ft. Worth. The Trinity Watershed project is one of the many complex work pieces in Dallas that is essential to Trinity River. Shaw has over 4000 employees in Texas and since the CB&I acquisition, the headquarters are creating an even larger Texas presence. JBJ is continuously honored to work with such an influential operation that employs over 50,000 individuals nationally.
JBJ Solutions has recently begun working with Parsons Co. a California-based company as they served as one of the three program managers for the 1.5 billion dollar bond package for the Dallas school district. JBJ Solutions served as the ground level community strategist while helping the business development and awareness for Parsons throughout the project. JBJ continues to work closely with Parsons in pursuit of other Texas projects. Parsons is one of the world’s largest engineering and construction organizations that specializes in infrastructure, transportation, and education.
During Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings 2011 campaign, JBJ Marketing handled the get out the vote and provided the introductions into the Dallas’ Southern Sector Following the election, those introductions led to the launch of the Mayor’s GrowSouth initiative which will boost the economic impact of the Southern Sector through new economic investment, job creation and public-private partnerships.
Mayor Rawlings has also implemented several initiatives for achieving academic excellence for Dallas students. He is working with Commit!, an education collaborative for Dallas area schools and has adopted four DISD schools located in areas prime for growth in order to continue improving the educational system. Other projects on the Mayor’s agenda include continuing to draw corporate support for the Dallas Arts District.
As Mayor Rawlings enters the last months of his re-election campaign, JBJ Marketing continues to offer new strategies focusing on economic development and growth and improvements in the infrastructure and basic services without increasing taxes in communities throughout the City of Dallas.

JBJ Marketing worked with the national planning office in Orlando Florida and led a winning effort at North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) to secure Atkins as the lead GEC engineering firm. JBJ created the DBE / SBE team, They also planned the bid process and presentation before NTTA board members. JBJ continued as a consultant for Atkins (PBSJ) in pursuit of opportunities at DART, DFW – Airport, City of Ft. Worth and DISD.

Their transportation services includes public transit fare collection, automated toll collection, demand-based parking solutions, back-office processing and related infrastructure installation and support.
Since 2003, JBJ has partnered with Xerox for marketing and transportation initiatives including strategic Dallas Photo enforcement and parking at Love Field.
The NRP Group LLC, a full-service real estate company, provides development, general contracting and property management nationwide. The company employs 450 employees nationwide and 202 employees in Texas and has developed over 17,000 units in 12 states and nearly 7,000 units in Texas. The development team handles all aspects of development including site selection and zoning. Their construction services include design, civil engineering, architecture and project management. The management team provides a compliance group for screening and selection and on- site management and to oversee on-going operations.
JBJ Marketing has partnered with the NRP Group to provide marketing outreach and strategic planning on several projects. They include Savannah Estates, a housing and urban development project near the University of North Texas in Southern Dallas and Balch Springs Urban Development.
Motorola created the mobile communications industry and is committed to improving the lives of millions of people as they continue to invent, build and deliver the best mobile devices. They offer a comprehensive suite of services from financing, integration, security and deployment.
Motorola provided Communications System packages for the Dallas Police Department and the Dallas Fire Department. JBJ Marketing teamed with Motorola on the strategic planning of this project which included managed services, lifecycle management, integration, support services and training.
Matthews Southwest, a full service private real estate development company, is headquartered in Lewisville, TX with additional offices in Dallas, Calgary, Alberta and Mississauga, Ontario. Since 1988, the company has acquired, built and managed the development of hotel, office, mixed use, retail, residential and industrial developments worldwide.
JBJ Marketing has a proven track record in strategic planning and engaging community/business stakeholder participation and utilized these skills on a variety of projects with Matthews Southwest. These projects include Drafthouse Cinema, Gilley’s, Old American Golf Club, Southside on Lamar, the Tribute Golf Links and the Dallas Omni Hotel Convention Center. JBJ Marketing was involved in the conceptual stage of the $300 million Omni Hotel as well as the “get out the vote” portion to deliver this high profile project. The JBJ Marketing and Matthews Southwest collaboration has led to the hotel’s early success both with its image and through profits.
